IFonly Consulting
My background:
- applied psychology and ergonomics (human factors), professionally accredited in both.
- 20 years in usability and user centred design. I started pre-web on green screens and progressed through GUI applications to web, kiosk, and iDTV.
- projects have ranged from small brochure websites to huge multi-million dollar mission critical transactional applications.
- I have experience in e-commerce and e-government and have worked with a range of end users from computer savvy professionals to welfare claimants with limited education and computer knowledge. Many of these have been complex transaction websites and applications.
- I have done usability evaluations of many systems using a range of methods from Nielsen heuristics to questionnaire to workplace observation to usability lab and eye-tracking.
- I have used many methods for user research, as a professional psychologist I have a good understanding of user's goals, needs and limitations.
- I have worked outside of the UK on projects in the USA, Europe, Dubai and Hong Kong. Some of these projects I have supported remotely, e.g. a 9 month assignment supporting a major project in Dallas from my base in the UK. I am used to working with clients and team members via email, VOIP and webcam conferencing.
