About Me:

My name is Joel Acevedo. I'm a Web User Interface Designer with more than 8 years of experience in designing and developing visual interfaces and web-based applications with strong focus on usability, cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility issues and web standards.

I have had the immense privilege to work in lots of web, print and multimedia projects for a multitude of clients, including Verizon - the second-largest telecom in the United States.

I am currently employed at HealthPlan Services (HPS), the nation's largest independent provider of service and technology solutions to the insurance and managed care industries. I've been working on projects for Nationwide, Principal and Freelancers Union, among others.
