    Looking Good!

Posted on Jan 27, 2010 at 1:30 PM

I really like this concept. It is really clean, easy to navigate, and easy to read. You have done a great job at this one.

One thing I might bring out is the header. I am not sure about the amount of curve that is currently on the bottom part of it. Maybe bring it out more to match the top part.

I disagree about the header curve - I think the bottom is appropriate since thats where your nav is.

    Font Color

Posted on Jan 21, 2010 at 9:15 AM

The font needs to be darkened some. It is REALLY hard to read on that light background.

    To much at first

Posted on Jan 21, 2010 at 9:12 AM

There is way to much on the first page. There is a lot of scrolling having to be done by someone on the page.

Plus, there is a huge gap on the right side that could be filled in with some of that informtion.

    Balance

Posted on Jan 21, 2010 at 9:05 AM

There is really no balance to this website. To me, it looks like this was really all thrown together really quick and had no thought put into it.

Sorry to be harsh but this could really use some makeup.

I really like this site. I can't really find anything to judge or suggest.

    Way to go!

    Consistency

Posted on Jan 21, 2010 at 8:56 AM

There needs to be consistency on the site. The images that you have provided have a lot of different designs and colors among them.

Find one good design that you like and use that throughout the site.

    A bit busy

Posted on Jan 21, 2010 at 8:52 AM

First thing I have to say is, this is BUSY! There is a lot of stuff going on on the first page. I am really not drawn to any certain part of the page. I don't even know where to begin on here.

Tone is down some. Simple is better!

    Busy-ness

Posted on Jan 11, 2010 at 9:32 PM

I really like this concept. The only thing I might suggest is tone down the busy-ness of it. There seems to be alot going on there on the first page.

I'm not sure if I actually forgot to capitalize that C or if the angle that I put it at made it smaller.

I probably forgot the capitalization, should definitely get that.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate the feedback.

Also, there definitely needs to be some COLOR.

    Not Good At All

Posted on Jul 20, 2009 at 3:10 PM

    Hate to be a crude.

If you are going to be showcasing your work on here, there is a lot to be done. First, there is no color. It is very geometric, sharp edges.

Second, is that TIMES NEW ROMANS? That is a awful text for websites. You need something that is readable.

    What is that logo?

I have to say that the professional face that you want to be the objective is not there.

    Hope this helps you out.

    Best of luck.

    Very Good

Posted on Jul 20, 2009 at 3:05 PM

I really like this design concept. It is very clean, simple, and best of all - readable.

One thing though, you need to change those bullets.

      Thanks Kyle!

I posted a second concept. I removed the bullets.

I added some color and a background for more depth.

      What do you think?

    CCTV Media

Posted on Jul 20, 2009 at 3:03 PM

I have to agree with Brian. The first thing my eyes were drawn to was the cctv media section.

Especially the "M". I would move that to the very right hand bottom and scale it down some.

Other than that, it is really good.

    ???

Posted on Jul 20, 2009 at 3:00 PM

I am really confused on where to start when getting to the site. It is very overwhelming. There are a ton of picutres, text, etc.

I like the color scheme though.

Maybe just get rid of the explore section and span the section to the right to fill that void.

You can then move the explore section as a drop down under the categories link.

      Thanks for your input Kyle.

Will it help, if i removed the background of the images being used? And keep only the product image - To minimize the over whelming effect by colors.

      Thanks Again

background image = pink image behind the cake

Have it white with product image and text? Maybe?

No, that is a perfect image. I liked that. What I was talking about was the left section where you have the explore. I think that is redundant and doesnt need to be there.

You have a point. The reason i placed that image there was to give the user a full view of option available instead of in the menu. These all options are available under "categories".

I couldn't find another way.. so i just put it as left menu.. and left menu to look cool.. i just added the images instead of simple text.

Maybe i need to browse more and come up with different idea

    Needs Changed

Posted on Jul 20, 2009 at 2:57 PM

First, the white text on a red background is awful. There also needs to be graphics. There is not anything that makes me want to act on anything. Basically, there is no call to action on the page.

    Nice, few things though...

Posted on Jul 20, 2009 at 2:55 PM

I would change the sections that you have at the bottom of the page. They are small and gets lost among the image.

The white text is very hard to read. Also, the layout of the words don't seem to have any structure to it. Did you use the grid?

Thank you for taking the time to read this. The buttons below were vertically aligned but horizontally spaced to fit within the gaps within the 1209 watermark. I had already changed this so that at least the middle button is centred on the page. Did you mean that name of the region at the bottom of the page is hard to read? To my mind it's still acceptable.

    Top Section

Posted on Jul 20, 2009 at 2:53 PM

I really like this design. The only thing I would suggest doing is moving the heading section to the left of the page.

Also, I think that the background needs to be lighter.
