    Nice try and keep going

overal this design must have a content to anticipate the empty space. More fun with color, not only stay on one or two colors. Keep going Chris. :)

the logo is nice but not the color and the back card are so flat, please concern in design and the typo placement that you're using and also the combination of the color.

i think you have check this site to have more idea bout using the color, http://speckyboy.com/2010/05/19/beginners-guide-to-using-the-power-of-color-in-web-design/

Thanks, Gia. I was recommended NOT to put a picture or address on my resume. Of course, that's assuming you mean a picture of myself, and not, well, a generic picture of something else, like a portfolio piece.

    re-work your typo

Posted on Dec 02, 2009 at 4:39 AM

Typo your logo "Nurit Avni" and "Graphic Designer" should be more improvement. Cause your typo logo is too big and standout.

    re-work on typography

Posted on Dec 02, 2009 at 4:30 AM

Making a website more impressive is how selecting the appropriate letter to the character of the website. Usually a maximum of 3 different typography, more than that will cause the eye will be disturbed/annoying and also the fonts size too.

Yeah, I understand the concern. Unfortunately the font in the header image was given to me and is not under my control. The header image will change every year.

    How to sending your post?

Posted on Dec 02, 2009 at 3:28 AM

Visual is good, just too wide for the logo. In an email campaign, must be observed in sending attachments. Is this picture in the form of an attachment or link?.

If using an attachment, then the image is too large (file size). If the link, layout must be adjusted to screen size, so that when opened, the message can be viewed directly.

    Focus?.

Posted on Dec 01, 2009 at 3:43 AM

What is really important the quote or the content? cause the first impression when I saw this design is the quote, not the content. it looks bigger visual content is displayed than your portfolio. Focus on what you want to "sell" on this website.

The color you choose is too dark, and the logo should be more stand out because the logo is part of the brand that people should know.

Good! :), some minor to be fixed is the button, if the mouse over the text to be dark because it will not be seen as a yellow background. At the bottom there is a black color would be great is not used.

Logo: whether to use the light cone? if there is no better relating removed or replaced with another visual.

The distance between the button above the portfolio too much space, only suggest, what if the button is like a folder / file. :)

    pick one..

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 at 5:04 AM

You must pick one from many your logo concept, because your logo overall the same shape, the different is only the typography. If i choose from many design, i'll pick number 6 for the typo and for the logo is number 1.

The reason cause your tag line is "when design meets art so, the logo must represented the tag line.

at this state, I'm trying to match the logo with the typographic style, but seems like I have to step back abi tmore to rethink the logo shape again. Having the shape of D & A meet each other is my concept of the logo - but it's not that obvious isn't it? I'll refine the logo and post them as soon I'm done - thanks Gia

    Pinky Color?...

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 at 4:46 AM

It's good for the layout but have another color beside pink color? Is the pink color related with your brand identity? Can you added with some ornament?

    • Karolis Versockas
Posted: on Nov 30, 2009 at 6:32 AM

It was blue(mid-light ones) but now with the new identity, we choose pink, what do you mean with ornament? Are you talking about background pattern?

Is the color the same like your character (the pink and the black 90%)? Give some tag line for your logo, like; we think, we sketch, we create or else. Nice try :)

    Where is the portfolio?

Posted on Nov 26, 2009 at 1:02 AM

The design is oke, not bad just give more color or ornament to make this site more life, perhaps before your give an exercise, i think you should know, who is your target? B2B or B2C?, so you can put the design character is the same what your target want. And also where is your portfolio or product?

The logo will be more interesting if made towards the horizontal, not with the lead 45 degrees.

    The color

Posted on Nov 26, 2009 at 12:51 AM

Color: On the top and the bottom looks like you like the basic pattern (the dots and the color), but in the middle why you put the blue color? and also before and after the middle, why you give a white background too bright (stand out).

About the dots, i like it, i know you give that dots to make your background not flat color...:). Give the white background and the blue in the middle, saturation or the same with the top and the bottom color.

    distratct my eyes

Posted on Nov 24, 2009 at 10:38 PM

when the first time i see the layout, in my eyes look on 3 part, the left with the information highway the center "you can get..." and the right side the gun. Maybe the red color is dominant.

The text on the left and the right side maybe not vertical cause i'm not comfort when i reading the text. The background style is cool.
