    not much more...

Posted on Apr 27, 2010 at 8:26 AM

Adding to what the others have said about the T (Zlatibor gave a very good advice), I'm move the "design studio" to the left, and make it a little bigger (under MA). The space under the right side of the T and "IO" looks wierd.

And I'd try brighter colours, to make it more visible.

Yeah! I'm trying to modify the T and add some colors to it, so it's more clean and shiny!

      Thanks!

    enhance the gray

Posted on Apr 23, 2010 at 3:59 AM

I don't think the gray gradients (cube and logo) will print very well. They look good on screen, but on paper you could get a nasty effect.

I like the bullets on the verso - maybe use them on the front.

And add some line spacing on the front, the info is too crowded (just like Kevin said).

wall of text - use one column

Posted on Apr 23, 2010 at 3:53 AM

Do something about the text, it's too much. Talk to the people, convince them that'll ruin the message. Also, as Miranda said, full justify looks bad - left justification is enough. Try to put it in one column if you can't cut it short.

Not much DJ-related graphics (I like the idea of vinyl player in #2 though - add more).

And emphasize the ticketing text - that's the "selling" part.

    where's the "hive"

Posted on Apr 21, 2010 at 9:41 AM

5 is the best in my opinion, just add someting related to a hive, and make the yellow colour a bit darker.

The black and white version looks even better.

The third slope from the upper side (still at #5) is different than the others.

    make it less wide

Posted on Apr 21, 2010 at 2:53 AM

I've made a small comment above about the "di" (which seems a bit squished there and tends to become invisible).

Also, the whole logo seems too wide (the left part of the mountain mostly. Shorten the slope there, and/or even move the "church" inside the mountain shape (see the attached mock-up)

I think you're right. I'll try something like that. The idea of black "di" is good. I was on that this morning. Thank you.

    work on 3

Posted on Apr 16, 2010 at 8:32 AM

Agree with the font and sizes - not working. Keep the idea from #3 and improve it.

Also, the colours are not very good - on black & white (think fax, stationery, branded pens). Add some contrast there.

And you should add some keyword as for what "consulting" stands for (could go below the logo).

    work on 2 and 4

Posted on Apr 16, 2010 at 8:09 AM

I like the centering and horizontal line on #2, but I also like the leaf on #4. Maybe combine them?

And use a darker green (like #3 or #6), the ligher version seems to "disappear" because of the slim font body.

    larger bottle

Posted on Apr 16, 2010 at 8:04 AM

I like #2, has the two keywords symbolised: wine and books. Just make the bottle a wee bit bigger to be more visible. The other two don't exactly show the purpose.

    combine 1 & 3

Posted on Apr 16, 2010 at 7:47 AM

I like #1 most, it has more balance. But maybe bringing the triangular dots for the "i" from #3 would make the word "city" look more like a city (some kind of roofs). Or the "l" from #2 or #3.

And also, the round part of the hole in "o" a bit bigger...

    drop the coloured images

Posted on Mar 18, 2010 at 8:33 AM

I'm guessing the coloured images inside the letters are not vectors. These don't scale well (what if they decide they want a 5 meter banner?). Even if they are vectors, not good for cutter-plotter (collate their cars with stickers). Go KISS.

      Ezequiel Jaime commented:

      Thanks!

The swirls are vector lines with sime art brush applied, and for a cutter-plotter you can always use a plain colour frame/border. e.g black car, black surrounding.

      Anyways, I appreciate your feedback!

    continuity

front and back have different proportions of red and white - looks like printing error. also, alignment issue on he front: logo and text are centered, but text is also left justifyed

    love the back side though.

    add something to say "used"

Posted on Oct 01, 2009 at 5:11 AM

current logo lloks more like "new car sales". also, think about printing the logo - gloss looks nice on the monitor, not so nice on outdoor banner materials (client sure will want some for outside the lot)

font is nice, but not for logo

Posted on Oct 01, 2009 at 5:07 AM

It is very hard to read fast (kerning isn'thelping either), and as others have said, p-m-e require too much time to figure out. colours are a bit "strong" too.

    keep the second one

Posted on Aug 27, 2009 at 9:21 AM

As the previous people said, the second version looks better, but without the recycle symbol (the name says enough, no need for standard icons). Just make more space between the words and it's fine.

    maybe other font...

Posted on Aug 26, 2009 at 10:04 AM

I like the overall look, but I don't quite fancy that poster font from the menu and logo - not very readable, not quite modern.

And the second logo, on the bottom, I think it would look better on the right side, switched with the glass. Right now, together with the main logo it weights down on the left side.

    Nice work!

    script font...

Posted on Aug 24, 2009 at 6:29 AM

I agree with the previous comments on the hand-written font, it's not that great, and not too "coding related".

Also, switch position in the second variant, with "something" on the main line, and "coded" as superscipt ("power"), not subscript ("base").

my intention is to sell myself as a coder as well as a designer so I don't really want it to be all coding related, but what i had wasn't really working. i gave it another shot, check it out.

    invert/change fleur de lis

Posted on Aug 19, 2009 at 9:45 AM

You might offend some french people, as the "fleur de lis" is some kind of national symbol.

Other than that, not too much to say, very ellegant and balanced.

    version a

Posted on Aug 19, 2009 at 8:10 AM

Go with version A, but do a subtle left alignment between the ascender of "d" and the left side of "m" above it.

Version B is too "straight", too "business".

Version C is also good, but A is better.

Courier New - bad bad bad

Posted on Aug 19, 2009 at 4:22 AM

Sorry about the title, but I just don't like Courier. At all.

I like the header and the logo. But the name written on the left of the slideshow looks like a second logo, and it's confusing. There's too much typography, reduce the number of fonts. Also, I'd drop the white contour on the logo text.

The web sites portfolio could use links to the live sites.

    Keep 6B, add final touch

Posted on Aug 19, 2009 at 4:06 AM

Variant 6B is quite good, keep refining this one. Maybe smaller computer screen, and a wee bit bigger keyboard and mouse. Font is good also.

1, 2, 4 and 5 are too complex to display at small sizes, and the symbols are too complex to be recognised in less than 10 seconds (5 looks like a trumpet).

3 could work, but it just looks like a P with a roof, in a shield.

Drop 7 and 8, too complicated.
