One thing I do like about the boxer facing away from you is the feeling it gives you of stepping into his shoes but it is lacking 'intensity'. Reading your concept 'A bead of sweat trickles down your brow', the image of two boxers face to face comes to mind. And with that you could show the emotion (and sweat) on their faces.

But going by the fact that people do like to win, how about the boxer is facing you hands in the air as the 'Champion', with the crowd around him going crazy.
