I think the bigger problem with the page is the content that was selected for the home page. Some of the elements don't seem to make sense.
- There is a "Get to know us" button as well as an "Our Company" section. Isn't this the same content? Both would presumably tell the user "about" information. Seems odd to me.
- Not sure why the Investor log in starts with a quote. Does anyone really care what your company CEO has to say? Would probably be best to just have the Login button.
- Also, the Investor login button doesn't feel much like a button at all. It is also inconsistent with "Get to know us"
- I would consider removing the "Get to know us" button and making it a simple text link, allowing greater emphasis to be put on a better call to action. What is the call to action to get new users investing? I'm not sure I see one on this page
- I mentioned the "Our Company" section feeling odd since there is already a link to "get to know us." I suggest shortening the "Our Company" content more.
- I can't quite put my finger on why, but the three column layout just feels odd. Perhaps its because the three sections seem to have nothing to do with one another. An idea would be to kill the "Investor Login" column, place that link elsewhere in the design. Then have "Our Company" take the same width as the photo
- also as another person mentioned, the drop shadow on the photo is odd. I'd remove it. It doesn't feel like an appealing photo either. Is it possible to find another one?
Sorry if this sounds a little harsh. I just have trouble discovering what the main purpose of the home page is. It seems like its trying to do a lot of different things at once.
