I like the background and the navigation in the top right, they flow well with each other.
However, I think there is too much space in the main content area, between the shape background and the text, I think the text should be pushed left a bit more.
Also, the design would be better if you didn't have the transparency in the main content area. Also I don't agree with the soft glow.
The arrows seem a bit too basic, so i assume they're just placeholders?
I think fix the above comments and it will start to look a lot better.
