A Review of New brand for an investment company by Emma Simpson

Have read the other reviews and am suprised. I really like this.

I wonder what the reviews would say if nobody had ever seen the google logo and put it up here for review. Too many colours - looks too rainbow. Don't like the serif font etc etc.

Here are a few thoughts on first glance:

• I like the way the T has been cut into by the other letters and this will work well both in b&w and colour.

• I like the bold condensed font below. There is an awful lot of characters to sit below and this font works well to do this and stay legible at small sizes.

• The shadow below the letters is a little off - the letters don't quite 'sit' on anything.

• I like the sutble borders to the letters helping them to have contrast and punch.

• I also like the reasoning behind the shape and think it works well.

• The 'c' does look a little too close to the 't' by a whisker.

I hope this helps. I'm genuinely surprised that others don't like it.
