The desktop theme is a new theme going around the net, but your take is to simple. Your images look way to shopped and generic.
I think the concept is great, but nothing jumps at me saying I design great stuff. I think you are headed in the right direction, but you need to try to step away from the blandness of the background as well as the desk.
