Hi Luke, from what you are displaying here this seems like it will be a good design. Here is what I think will keep it going in a good direction:

    1. Make the read feature area clear. The background you have right now makes it hard for your readers to read the content you have in this area. By choosing a more solid color, it will increase the focus of this site's visitors and make it easier on them to do the normal glance through and walk away with the general concept of the passage. Also, the same goes for the "view portfolio" button.

    2. Reduce the size of the hover background in the nav bar. I think taking some pixels off will make it look better.

    3. Mentioning his age is like a double edged sword. As a designer and front end developer of the same age of your client, I've learned that the mentioning of age has its pros and cons.

Pros: may impress some clients that he is career focused at a young age, may bring in more clients because they think he is more suited for their small projects, may get to have friendlier then average relationships with a good percentage of his clients and if his work is good, people may want to work with him now because of how skilled he may become.

Cons: some clients will try to save money and attempt and get him to doing an under payed project, people may only want to work with him because he can be easily manipulated by them, they may not respect his business as they would an older freelancer and try to implement an adult child relationship to the business he will be conducting with them when it is not necessary.

Overall I like where this is going and will be interested to see it with some content.
