A Review of Local Magazine by Wouter Admiraal

Absolutely love your design. And I love the idea of having the background reflect the main article.

Not much to say, except for the login section:

1. Is the "LOGIN >" a button or just a title for the buttons on the right ? Because "login" is usually clickable. I would try to click it, at least :-). If this is not the case, maybe you could relabel ? And rename "sign up" "login" ? Just a suggestion
2. Everything feels "flat" (which I love). But the login buttons have a glossy gradient. Have you tried flattening them ?

That's it for me I think. Really nice design.
