I like the simple, usable design but I agree with other reviewers that it could benefit from an addition of a few colors or add more of the purple color that appears on the shirt or add a bit more of the blue in the "add to cart" button.
How does the tabbed navigation work? Will certain tabs appear only if the page has been loaded? For instance, if you click on the "Graphics" category the "Graphics" tab will appear. If that's the case, awesome! I like that idea. I'd really love to see it live.

Adam Wagner commented:Now, about the navigation:
If you've used Ubuntu or Windows Vista, you already know how 90% of it works. As you navigate through the layers of the site, the breadcrumb / tabs appear across the top.
Each breadcrumb will have a subnav (best example is the home page). This subnav can be accessed easily from any level by hovering over a breadcrumb / tab.
Make sense? Seem usable? Confusing? Maybe this Vimeo Video will clear things up a bit:

Hey Corinne,
Thanks for the tips. I would like to add more of the blue add to cart color, but I really want that color to exclusively signify "add to cart".
We've also decided on colors for resource categories. Usually, we chose colors similar to the Adobe application which opens the file types in the category (orange for vector files, blue for Photoshop Brushes). You can see these colors on the filter bar of the search page. (image 4)
I agree that the site needs more color. I think that most of the color kick will come from the large image slideshow on the homepage & category landing pages. The one you're seeing in image 3 isn't really a good example.
