Nice bold approach! I think the mixed-medium look is fantastic, and you obviously have the talent to pursue this kind of design...though it still needs work.
Positive: your simple, minimalist approach works well with the overall design. This supports your objective to highlight people's art. Not sure if you're intending to use a flash graphic to flip pages of the pad, but that might be fun.
Negative: the second page in particular looks thrown together. It's going to need quite of bit of work to carry off the mixed-medium look. The computer image appears pasted in, like it doesn't really belong there yet. And I'd greatly simplify whatever you are hoping to include on that computer screen image--people are already viewing it on THEIR computer screens. Go with simple and clean.
One last idea: it seems that your first/home page needs something of an identifiable logo. Obviously you don't want it to distract from the art of the person you are highlighting, but viewers will likely want to know something about you, your company, etc.
