Second one (with the heavy gray around the globe) looks too corporate and a bit old school (to me). The first has a wave -- nice with a subtle glimpse of the world, but not too obvious. Like how the blue text is slightly faded, though why the black "surf"? I understand your wanting to differentiate, but what about picking up the darker blue of the wave? Then surf could have the same faded look as world -- would be cool. I think the harsh black text stops engagement. All I see at first is SURF, whereas if it were all shades of blue I would be drawn in more. Looks great, though!
