Overall, I really like the design. It looks modern, clean and balanced. I only gave it a 2.5 for originality, but that's actually ok for the purpose of this website.
There are only two things I would change:
- You say that the website is targeted both towards current members as well as prospective members. I can see how it addresses current members, and it does that quite well. However, if targeting prospective members is one of the primary goals, this should also reflect in the main content section. Maybe you could use one of the pictures on the right as a teaser for a page for prospective members? Or move the training agenda a little down and add another box?
- The page looks a little text-heavy at first glance. Maybe you could shorten the teasers a bit and show more detail on a different page?
One thing that I'm also missing here (but that could be on purpose) is a link to a Facebook group, a Twitter account or something similar. But maybe you have something better in the members section?
