The new icon looks more like the medical red cross symbol than a church cross. Can you try making it taller, more traditional crosslike rather than square? But I do the like having something rather than just plain text. I'd also increase the size of Redeemer to fill the same visual width space and Presbyterian Church. I like the font and color of the Presbyterian Church in the second option.
