- Find a better texture. This one is too bright, too dominating. Or maybe just scrap it altogether, but possibly keep it for the menu.
- Logos. They don't sit well on the texture.
- Menu. Lists are boring to look at, and not engaging. Try and find a more visually appealing way to link people to other pages.
- Search bar. I only just noticed it! Make it stand out more, more obvious. Again, this is a texture problem.
I give originality a low score because the use of the wooden texture is very common and very obvious.
Other than that, this is a good start and I look forward to seeing where you go with it.

Michael Gunner commented:Maybe just have the search bar white like the main content? Shame about the menu, looks a bit cluttered but that's not your fault. Maybe instead of a texture there's a more subtle way of communicating the wood theme.
this has got some great ideas http://www.cssleak.com/Category/Websites-Using-Wood-Elements.html

Yeah i was thinking the texture was too bright, so might dull that down a notch.
The logos and menu im stuck with at the moment, although i may look into another way of dispolaying the logo, maybe a bit of paper of something coming over the design. The menu has to be the way it is, i have no option on that.
I agree on the search bar, tried so many things on this and just didn't seem to get anything i really liked.
