Hi Chad,
I will talk about usability - not about design :)
simple text is what sells. What is: 'streamlined remote studio based business'? :)
simple menu - what's 'work'? If it's portfolio call it portfolio. I don't think you need a link to blog in the main menu. People can access you blog from recent post.
Bigger Call to Action because right now you have 2 buttons with small font in the same colour. Use concept of Primary and secondary (smaller or below) CTA.
Visible scrolling - nobody will notice that there is a scrolling option under 'homepage portfolio' pictures.
less happy talk - nobody reads on the internet. On average users read 20% of content. I suggest you cut 60% from each paragraph. Try to write it in 'reverse pyramid' style with bolding for easier scanning.
wall of text - services and what do we have to offer will never be read.
clear position - so do you do websites or business cards??????
Desperate - Currently accepting projekts sounds desperate. I haven't heard about any company not accepting new business.
Keep with the good work :)

Our work is better than just Work
Yes I suggest creating a primary CTA and a secondary one.
I would suggest having navigation visible all the time. Some people will never notice them is they don't move their mouse over it.
I would use something in line 'Lets discuss your project now' instead of Currently accepting projects
cheers

The blog is going to be an important part of the business, so that is why it's there, how about "Our Work", Portfolio seems to much like a student site...
You would suggest making one button bigger then the other?
There is an overlay navigation buttons when you rollover the screens
5, 6, 7 Will condense, and clear up text
Anybody have a problem with the Now Open Area??
