The first thing I noticed is that, after looking at the cool sphere / leaf graphic, I don't know where to look next.
The "Welcome to" seems too low for a welcoming statement. It's also the same or too close to the size of your navigation items.
"What I do, A little bit about me, and A Good Design Recipe", get completely lost because the eye is too busy jumping around the four elements that take up 80% of the page.
Figure out your information hierarchy. Think about how we read things. Left to right, top to bottom, and bigger to smaller. Right now my eyes make an X on the screen as they jump from the graphic, to the logo, to the navigation, and finally to the welcome messages.
P.S. Your logo is very engaging(!), and I wonder if it could be more connected with that cool graphic. They already carry the same language in the circular form of the letters and the round swash in the bottom left of the logo. Just something extra to think about :)
Great start overall, just fix the hierarchy issues!
Hope this helps! // Maxim

It is VERY helpful feedback. I felt that something is not right but could not pin point it. Thank you, Maxim.
