the typeface is great, works very well. It's a very simple logo, I don't feel churches really need an icon to go a long with the logo, i guess in all of these i feel like there is something missing.

I guess because it's just text. there is nothing being done to it. It's not really designed. It's just an arrangement of three words.

Maybe enhance the word "Redeemer" it's very stark can you make it a little more welcoming? what is the character of the church? it it lively? or are they hardcore? what is the purpose of the logo? and i'm not asking that in terms of "what will it be used for?" i'm asking that in as "what is it trying to do?" what is the concept of the logo? is it trying to engage the viewer? is it trying to bring a sense of familiarity? For example the coke logo when i view it, it makes me think of the smooth taste of drinking a coke a warm day. It's very flowing. I can almost feel the cool drink flowing down my throat. It inspires me to want to buy a coke product. The purpose of that logo is to get you to buy more coke.

Is your purpose to inspire the viewer to take action? or is it more passive? the brand the logo the everything has to be designed around that end purpose.

Have you seen this logo before? It's a very effective one. One of my favorite church logos. http://www.ectomachine.com/wp-content/themes/ectomachine/images/logos/logo_grace.jpg

      thanks...your feedback is always appreciated.

You have a good point there about what the logo makes you feel like. Maybe I could design a simple image to go along with the text...like the logo you linked to.

I updated the design with a different type of cross.
