    little things

Firstly, its a big improvement on the old version, this version is easier for my eye to navigate around and more importantly i am more likely to buy products from this page than the last.

There are a few things I would change and a suggestion or two to make.

    1. The header area with the "printing, graphic...." for me don't add to the viewing experience - is there somewhere else you could hold this contact info.

    2. You are using a lot of real-estate for the logo and "Our luxury...." line. Did you try using this space more effectively in sketches or mock ups? If you did could you post them up here or message them to me?

    3. The gradient on the 5 item navigation bar is very strong - my eye gets caught here for too long and distracts me from viewing the products that are subtly styled below. I would test a much more subtle gradient, with subtle colours with less of a colour contrast. Once you have tried it - post it up so we can compare and see what works better.

    4. I like the products hiding behind the lines as it looks like they are poking out. I think you should check out this page (http://forabeautifulweb.com/) on this page there are three DVD case - hover your mouse over them and see the effect (you will need a webkit browser for this to work - if you don't have one already get Chrome as it kicks firefox's butt). This effect is made with CSS3 and HTML5 and there is a tutorial somewhere about how to create this technique but I couldn't find it for you. Using this technique to slide your products into view slightly could be a nice effect. It could give a playful feel to the content, if you get it up soon you might get traffic from the bloggers who constantly spew out lists of top 25's - you might get on this "Top 25 - CSS3 and HTML5 Site in Action", this would bring your site to the forefront of current web-standards. What do you think?

    5. I know you have varying amounts of content to the right of each product - but I would like to see the titles "business cards" "office pack" etc all aligned. giving items with less info more white space below. I think this might make your products easier to view and not let the viewers eye slip away from them. Again, mock it up and post it up for us to see.

I hope this helps, great work so far and I think as with most concepts on this site - by accepting some feedback and ignoring some feedback, a couple of versions, posting mock-ups you will eventually get a fantastic design. You are getting there so don't be disheartened by receiving suggestions on this new version! :)

Hi Joe, I have uploaded another concept. I would love your feedback. I have taken a number of your comments on board in this concept. Kind regards. Stephen
