this is a spectacular idea. i would say only tiny tweaking to make it completely awkward-free. sharpie is good. i think the finger lines don't really make sense, the ribbon is the reminder. but i see why you added them.. i wonder if dotted lines might be a good strategy? maybe you don't need the lines at all?

i think you should add the ends of the string that come down off of the knot. i made a rough addition in photoshop and attached it below.

great work on this, i love the idea and your execution so far is fantastic.
