This is a good start, but still needs some work. I really like the navigation and the logo bar. However, the way the site is organized feels a bit clunky to me. I would remove the image above the logo, shift everything up and then make the content area more interesting.

To me, it's not necessarily the image, but rather the placement of the image. I would just remove it all together.

First, what shall I do with the space if I will remove the image above the logo? What do you mean by shift everything up? And what do you call "interesting"? What shall I add?
