i was able to read your original design easily. although i do look at typography all day. i would say if most (non designer) people can read it easily, then go with it! i like the more colorful option at the top. I would recommend not repeating the same mark though in different colors, give each color and letter fill its own unique shape. i think this is beautiful and completely appropriate for your audience. although i think your audience might be a little too wide. women over 25 don't dress the same as 17 year olds in most cases.. im not sure about that sharp point in the s but everything else about this is absolutely lovely. maybe soften the s curve? ---all of these comments so far are for your first design, which i like better. i don't think you need a bevel.. and the little notch on the p made it more legible for me, and the dot of the i also helped in readability. i would leave them like they were. removing the notch on the p does make it match the other letters better though... but i really think the original is better. i like the 4 colors. it makes me think about how clothing stores always have a wide palette of colors to choose from. when you take away the other colors and only partially fill one letter, it looks more like you're filling a cup. like maybe its a café or something. please stick to your first one~ i really like it... would only alter the s curve.. and make unique color swirls. great job with this, im voting it up :)
