I really dig this design and the javascript transitions between pages. It really hits home the point that your homepage should be an accentuated version of your main content pages.
The only suggestion I would make is regards to the linkability of the site. The problem with AJAX (or JS) based sites with a single page build is that if I want to email my friends a link to the bio page or photo gallery, it's always going to take me to the homepage.
Perhaps you could include anchor tags to solve this problem. Something like http://chris-mcgarry.com/#photos. Then, you can just read in the anchor on the onload event and trigger the proper content, etc.
Anyway, cheers. Great work, and I actually enjoyed this guys music.
