Rethink the 3 boxes in the middle

It's quite a good design however there are some elements that just don't work.I know the look you're going for since I've seen it over and over again so keeping this in mind i will highly recommend the following: 1.Cut down on the number of the boxes:I can count about 7 box areas(header,footer,3 portfolio images, about me,services area) that are present here,so there are too many boxy areas. You should have only 4 areas instead of 7,so try another layout idea.

2.Replace the area with the 3 photos with Icons Basically you should have 3 icons presenting your main services:Web Design,Marketing,Photography

3.There's too much text present in the about me area,by placing so much text there you're basically forcing the user to read it thinking there's some valuable info there and thus backfiring at you because users/visitors don't want to read too much, they're interested in your design skills, not for example where you were born, etc. You should keep that amount of text only if you won some awards or you've worked for big companies. You should have around 3-4 rows of text about yourself and a click more button,so if they are truly interested they can read all about your childhood :) on a separate page.

4.You should rethink the whole 3 featured projects that are present in this design.Maybe use only one featured project instead of 3 and besides it use some text like the one in the header of the 2nd & 3rd picture.

Basically you're on the right track but there's still a lot of work to be done.

    Hope it helps.

Hi Gradinar, thank you for the review. Lot of excellent points and some that I've already quasi fixed. I went live with the website about 2 weeks ago, so slicing and coding has been in final stages well before. I'll definitely re-evaluate in 6 months though and come back to your comments :) Thank you and welcome to CF...

      Cheers
