When I first saw this concept, I thought it was really attractive in a light and airy way. Your generous use of white space really opens things up and allows your subtle elements a lot of breathing room. The layout is more akin to that of a brochure than a website, which is a refreshingly different approach. Its simplicity is its strong point.
However, that said, I think it's perhaps a little too spaced out. I can imagine visiting this site (especially on lower resolution screens) and having to scroll down past the large header elements every time (unless you're incorporating some kind of AJAX functionality) might become a little frustrating after a while. A lot of the information seems to be a little disjointed as well.
In short, I like the look and feel but I'd reconsider the layout.
P.S. I totally get the balloons. Keep 'em!
