It seems like the design is trying to have a grunge theme but also a shiny web 2.0 theme at the same time. I would go with the grunge, make the icons in the bottom drawings or grungy stickers. And the main section is too clean - I like the white space but the cleanliness of it throws me off compared to the rest of the design
