First let me mention how this is going to be a very difficult task to redesign concept feedback and please everyone at first. We use this site so much that our judgment is a little clouded because we are use to the current design.

What I like about the new design:

    1. I love the featured member area is set up now, showing all of the work instead of just the one project.
    2. Like the ability to see all of the unreviewed. Hopefully this will be specific to me, showing me all the things I have not reviewed.
    3. You hit the spot with the new concept detail page. The way the review's are set up is amazingly clear and straight forward. I am so excited about the previous version spot that allow me to quickly view them (THANK YOU!). I also like the set up of the rating system right by your name.
    4. Genius idea to add the follow this concept. Please let it email me when somebody has made another review.

Overall I like where you are headed with this design but think there are a few things that could be improved:

    1. Why are there different roll over states for the premium concepts then the best today. I would have to see this is action but it doesn't seem to make complete sense.
    2. In general the main page feels a bit cluttered and busy. Anything you can do to simplify things would be appreciated.
    3. I like what you have done with the featured member section but putting at the bottom feels like it is a bit less of a feature then before.
    4. I miss the ability to not like something and eventually vote it off. It felt like we had a little bit of power.

I think I covered most of the things I wanted to say. Like I said, overall I like where you are headed with this and ultimately trust your judgment on where this ship (concept feedback) needs to go. A few last things that I hope you don't forget in the next iteration of CF:

    1. Ability to format email and comments as well as add attachments in them both.
    2. The ability to see who is following you.
    3. The ability to collapse comments that you don't want to see so you can focus on the ones you do want to see.
    4. Let us follow certain people and send us email when that person post a new concept.
    5. IPHONE APP!!!! I know it's easier said then done but this would be a great iphone app and would increase your viewership.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things, let me know if you have any questions. Great work so far, look forward to seeing it in action!

Thanks for the comments Nate, always a pleasure to get feedback from you guys. I

Here's the stuff I was going to post but didn't when I was posting the concept...check it out:

      • We would like to shift focus slightly so the site is not only helpful to designers but to marketers also. The value of the Premium Concept will be increased and will be made more appealing to people who just want feedback, and not necessarily are designers and contributors of the site.
      • The premium concept will now allow YOU to get paid for high quality reviews. We are planning to allow the Premium Concept owners to "award" the 3 most helpful reviews. Each reward point is $1 dollar. As soon as you collect 10 - you can withdraw via Pay Pal.
      • This will generate high quality reviews and will reimburse you for the time spent. We really want to ignore all those "OMG THIS IS GREEEAT" reviews. Remember - we're concept feedback, not concept praise.
      • The reputation of a user will be tweaked, also. We're planning to introduce a slightly more complex formula to calculate the "quality" of a member. We want to isolate the top design talent on the site and grant them elite status. Only a limited amount of slots will be available at any given time, and there will be privileges for these members. Quality both of feedback and concepts will play a key role in determining the rankings.
      • Premium concepts will have reporting for views, feedback, and votes.
      • Premium concepts will have PDF export capabilities so that you could create an actionable plan of revision and use it as a document for your concept.
      • Creative Commons will be implemented
      • We are going to introduce a marketplace where you will be able to market yourself and your services.
      • Premium profiles will be introduced and will allow you to set up a portfolio of sorts. This will also expose you better in the marketplace and generate leads.

These are just some of the many features we have brewing in the pipes. Our goal is simple: improve the service, create value for people who want to spend money and get more exposure, and improve the tools which you can use for free and advance your craft.

Happy New Year to all of you from the team at CF!
