At first glance it was very simple, you could play more with colors if you think that you don't want to add any more elements on the page. Play with the colors for menu bar for example. Right now, the overall pages looks plain. I like the unicorn(s) illustration, I realized why it's there after reading the request. It fits the idea that the artist is doing paintings for children's pieces. It's fun to design a website, even for an artist, be creative with it, play with those illustration, text, and color.
