There are just a few things I think are important to change.
1)The overall design is kind of dull. I like the header ilustration, but the tabs look kind of web 1.0. Try losing the beveled edges and adding some gradients or something like that. I like that you styled the forms, not many designers take the time to do that, but I think that the blue outline scheme isn't really working. It makes it seem more clunky than the default box design in Google Chrome.
2) The signup form was hard to find from the homepage. I had to click link in the content to be taken to the property manager page, then click again to sign up. I think it would make sense to have a "signup" button next to the "log in" button.
3) Make the home page less crowded. I like that the search box was front and center, drawing the users to it, but under that was a lot of content I didn't want to read. Try moving "popular cities" to the whitespace to the right of the content, maybe removing some of the cities as well. Then move the rest of the text up where the "popular cities" box was.

I agree the page could be simplified, this is definitely something we are going to test. The counterbalancing factor is that simplification can lead to putting all the eggs in one basket per say. Meaning if a user does not want to perform the one action we are directing them towards we may lose them vs. providing some secondary calls to action. Thanks for the feedback.
