These guys usually want mega symmetry and your text wanders quite a bit .
I would suggest using a grid I use Gridfox but there are lots of others out there.
From there make sure everything is left aligned (text) or aligned period.
Typography, spacing, are long term skills with a client you may get a hint with comments like "make it like so and so"
-with a template house you may want to study successful authors it will be down to a handful of forms you can borrow till you can develop your own chops ala what they think works.

Robert Tipping commented:Usually a company/site that specializes in templates(slang:template house) has set of star designers that tap into 4 or 5 ways of presenting and keep rehashing the same thing because it sells .
Look for the handful of designers that keep a high profile and learn from there work what that small set or "model"requires.

Thanks a bunch of the tips. I will look into a grid system. What do you mean with a template house? I'm a little confused on the last parts of your review.
