Hi Shane! I think your page looks all right. Do just some minor tweaks and you´ll see it yourself.
1) add an empty line between the paragraphs (And align the first lines also to left) 2) add subheadlines 3) make the "Interesting quote" a bit smaller so that you get some empty space around it 4) add a 1 pixel stroke around the image 5) change the color of the "Interesting quote" to for example blue, it is a bit pale right now.
Oh, and the first one (menu) is the best I think.

I had a difficult time adding a stroke (and drop shadow as suggested by someone else) because I couldn't figure out how to get a drop shadow all the around the image. So, I duplicated the picture, turned it black and added a gaussian blur to it. Not sure how that works. Let me know what you think of this revision.

Hi, the fifth one looks very good. How I would still modify that is that I would make the text on the left -The chuch in Kenya is...- darker gray or maybe the same blue as you have used elsewhere. And you do not have use italics on the subheadlines, bold is enough.
