    Even out the weights of lettering.

    I agree that zen is relaxing, but a Tibetan practice in relation to a Brazilian Inn may not have been what the client was looking for.

    The second logo does look more generic but it also has vacation tradition going for it.

    Now the lettering does bother me a little bit. Using the same typeface at three different sizes gives the text three different visual weights. A trick an old teacher showed me was to stroke the glyphs with a thin outline, usually a fraction of a point, to make smaller letters look as heavy as the larger ones.

    Just be glad they didn't ask you to add in thong imagery. :P
