Site redesign for copywriting company

I agree with you something is missing, I feel that a separation in the header could be nice, like some sheets of paper. Or design the content area as a sheet of paper, or maybe just a human face somewhere as I feel a little cold But I really like the concept and the colors, the fonts are very nice and the presentation is very clear

The top is nicely themed and clean but then I don't think you really followed that theme on the bottom. I think you need some sort of imagery to liven up the site. I think you might be relying too much on the hand written font. I like the colors but keep working with this.

The colours are nice, it's easy to navigate, it's not busy or cluttered.

I like the handwritten font for FinalCopy, it works really well. I would either lower the tagline, or line it up perfectly with the company name. Right now it's only a bit off, and it looks "off".

The header in general needs a bit more life to it. I find the menu really large and clunky, it needs more refinement. Maybe making the menu smaller and adding some imagery to the right. I don't think you need anything fancy though. Maybe a hand holding a pencil drawing "FinalCopy"? Just off the top of my head. Maybe cliche, but it may work.

I'm not a fan of the diagonal lines in the background (the colour is nice though). The cross-hatching in the handwritten font is horizontal so you may want to mimic that by making the lines horizontal as well.

I get what you're going for and I'm all about simple design. That in mind, I think the box around the section completely separates the site and kills the flow. Take it out, left justify it with the above menu and I think it will add to the balance of the site.

In addition, I'd add a pencil or something on the header to give it more depth.

I think is missing is graphics, right the entire page is text, there actually barely any structure to the site. I understand that its for a copy writing business which is obviously a text based business, but I would still add some sort of graphics to this site. However, I do like the font of the logo, and main menu, clever.

Well I am not crazy about the logo ...I am sure you can do better.....again the use of just one color is a problem.

Layout .... misses something ...anything.

Try to put the "We make..." under the "FinalCopy", and maybe change the typeface on that. The links could also be on another typeface. Lose the box around the body area and put some images / graphics there.

The logo is similar to a famous copywriting blog.
