Nice design however I would suggest some changes.
CONSISTENCY: One side has the WWW and the other side does not.
I also suggest you drop the P as it absolutely serves no purpose as you do not have a fax number to confuse.
After Box # 808 - you have a hyphen. Between Cedarhurst and AB - you have a comma. You should change the hyphen to a comma to be consistent.
The spacing between AB and the postal code should be 1.5 spaces according to the Chicago Manual of Style.
On one side you have everything centred. On the other side you have the Trevor left justified. Keep it consistent and make everything centred.
FONTS I would try some different fonts and keep the sizes consistent - it looks like you have a bunch of different sizes all over - there should be 2 sizes - one for the small text and one for the larger text.
SEPARATION The side of the card that looks like it is divided in half (the side with the huge Red 'R') - it's not exactly half - so it looks like a mistake. I suggest that you divide the card to either exactly half or better yet - divide it at 1 to 1.618 (the Golden Ratio) - you can do that for both sides to create consistency.
I like the design - simplistic and elegant. I have to be very close to the screen to read the small font size. Don´t know if it´s the upload quality
This is a great design, but the font size is illegible. If it's just the upload, then forget about it, otherwise, make it easier for people to read.
I think it would work on a business card. If it were to remain an image, to be used on a site, then I would agree and say it needed to be clearer, but on a business card it should be fine when in the hand.
pretty sure the reason its blury is the fact that it's a jpg image.
Well done. Love the way you used the "r" on the back of the card. Love the bold colors and the clean lines. Top notch stuff!
I really like this, its clear and simple.
The only point I can think of is your contact info. You have a 'P:' before your phone number, but not an 'E:' or 'W:' before the email or web addresses. I think it would look better without the letters, but either do it on all of them or none.
The text is a little small, but I'm sure it'll be fine when printed on a card.
Other than that its fantastic!
Thanks everyone for your comments. I have uploaded a larger version of the cards. I agree about the font. I think I will increase the size!
I would make the contact info a little bigger.
There contact info font is too narrow which makes it hard to read. Keep the card setup consistent on both sides so that it looks as if you intended it to be that way. Good job.
front and back have different proportions of red and white - looks like printing error. also, alignment issue on he front: logo and text are centered, but text is also left justifyed
love the back side though.
font is too small, and I'm not so sure if logos are allowed to be inverted (R in your case)
Very solid. A vertical, two-sided business card with a striking yet simple design.
You don't list your title, but maybe that's on purpose.
I love such business cards. They definitely do what they're meant to. You did a good job here, except that the small fonts are too small. Hard to read. A small increase in the font sizes would solve the problem.
Love the two solid colour approach. A third colour would spoil everything.
I don't like the horizontal scaling though. Looks too squashed and I'd expect it to be hard to read on a small business card.
My only comment (other than mentioned legibility concerns) is that it feels odd that both orientations are vertical. Perhaps in the hand it would feel fine.
great design. great use of negative space.
on one side of the business card, the big negative (white) R is laid out in a way that it rounds the corners of the red box that contains. however on the opposite side, the lower left serif on the big negative R (red) isnt present thus leaving the corners of the white box square.
I tend to like the rounded corner version better.
small detail, overall very nice design. very bold, strong.
I REALLY like the simplicity of this logo. It's beautiful and I really love the negative space.
Great stuff. I'm a big fan of simply beautiful designs.
memorable general concept could use some minor shuffling
try...
FRONT: more white space (even if you have to exend the descender at the same angle) :: move "redwall.ca" down :: remove the service list
BACK: simplify. a little less white space :: remove the box around the "logo" (just use red type without the "R"... you've made your point on the other side) :: add your service list :: type might be a little small for general business (unless all of your clientele are 20-somethings)
Just my thoughts for what they're worth. Thanks for listening.
Like the typography, black, red and white my favorit colors.
I know both sides will not be viewed together; I'd still balance the white/red background front/back
The design is ok but I just don't see it sync with the company website. Besides, it doesn't really promote a design firm. More like an accounting firm.
I really like the card. Very simple and bold. The color is great and I love how the letter R goes in to the web URL and services offer. Really nice...
Gets the point across... although at first glance it made me think interior designer. Looks good though message is clear.
great design.,striking at first impression and does the opening work.
Awesome feedback Yitz! I will definitely implement. Thanks again!
