is SICK!! Very nice indeed. As suggested by Rich, work with the image of the raptor. Make it feel just as original as the name. Re-draw/trace or illustrate the pic and make it the color red you have, and the font white. Scale proportionate to your card.

How would it look on white paper/stationary ? Or printed on black and white?

frankly it looks cooler on black than on white, I don't know what I could do to make it better on white. I tried changing the colors but I really am trying to stick with that dark blood red. any suggestions?

It doesn't work for me like this. I'd simplify the head a lot. At the moment it doesn't work when it's smaller / from a distance. Also the logo is hard on your eyes. Maybe make the red slightly lighter so it's not so harsh on the black. The yellow & red reminds me of a target / game?

All the illustrations of the raptor are to grungy for my taste. I would clean it up and have an illustration of the full raptor maybe even in flight. Put the raptor illustration medium sized and on the left with the text to the right, two line like in the 3rd example. I would use a different font one that has more character.

Err... maybe a bit obvious, but I would make the image of the raptor RED in whatever style you decide to go for.
I like the red colour that has been used, and the font is cool - especially when used in the style of the third design. i think the only thing that lets it down is the image of the raptor itself. Maybe it needs to be a bit more 'stampy' like a screen print, and not a photocopy.
I do like the name too BTW.

I like the 3rd one the best, it has that old poster feel.
What might look pretty cool, is putting the red on the same line as raptor, and right align the text, and next to it a red silhouette of a raptors head..
all on a black background...

yeah I'm working in leopard on the newest generation mac and I used to use photoshop 7 but it doesn't run on this. I don't think I want to buy CS2 (don't really like the interface of 4)

thanks for the review I was torn between 1 and 3 for a business card but I'll definitely go with 3. if I make the lettering white and the image red should I leave the word 'red' colored red? or turn it to white too?
