The logo is very much lacking in readability. I did not think that was a "z" at all and actually thought the name of the company was "3 ahab". I also think the talk bubble is overdone for the most part in logos these days.
Nice font, but I also didn't get that this read zahab, it looked to me like 3 ahab... maybe put the z in the speech bubble and move that to the front like it's being spoken...
just a thought but you might want to incorporate the z and the speech bubble as one, so that the z has a speech tale under it, and remove it's fill and keep the outline stroke. That would look pretty cool.
I like your concept but I didn't get what the logo was trying to convey. Make the tech aspect more apparent in the logo.
I saw the Z at first, but now I see a three after reading others comments.
Print magazine says the talk bubble is all the rage right now, so I say go for it.
Green means eco or money in the US. What country is this for?
I think the talk bubble is too thin to go with the thick letters.
I like the type and the close set letters. Good job.
Hi am concerded that we are reviewing your logo through mostly western eyes and as we are not familar with the arabic alphabet are unfairly evaluating your concept. Is this a global concept or will the audience largely be "arabic literate"? I feel unqualified to evaluate through arabic eyes, however what I can say is the universal symbol of speech or communication is perhaps a bit cliche. I am also not convinced that green is the right colour because the company does a lot of good??
Its very hard to read the start of the logo, and it does look more like a 3 than a Z.
I would work on getting that working better.
maybe you could fade the bottom (non z) part of the first letter so the z is clear - and maybe turn it just a bit. And the bubble does say communication but would be great to bring out their niche somehow - the fact that they work with non-techies.
i would consider putting the two "a's" in facing message boxes.
If your intent is to show how the company and community can communicate then you need to make sure that the communication model (sender and receiver) is clearly stated.
I think the lines would flow smoother if the 'z' was written in english.
Everybody uses green. Moreover the Z looks like the number 3
readability is a huge issue. I first read "rehab" Nice type but give it some space. the "z' looks like a 3.
It really depends on the target audience. What can appear as "3" to native English speakers can be clear "Z" for those speaking natively Arabic.
If it has to be international, I would make the top of the "z" straight, with the bottom part in the arabic style.
I checked the arabic alphabet I found here: http://www.stanford.edu/dept/lc/arabic/alphabet/images/ArabicAlphabet.jpg but it's not quite clear to me, because none of those letters look similar to yours.
The other thing is readability - as far as i know, in Arabic, you read from right to left, but this logo has the left -> right reading direction.
The solution would be probably doing 2 separate logotypes with same symbol. One english version with symbol and one arabic with the same symbol.
I can't see a problem in this sort of solution - even the big boys do this - look here: http://theletter.co.uk/images/lc/arabiclogodesigns.jpg
I couldn't really tell that was a z. I thought it as a 3. You might want to think about tweaking that aspect of it. :-p.
Also, I think the speech bubble isn't quite right. Maybe make it not as tall, but stretch a wee bit wider? It just looks out of place to me.
