    design looks good

Posted on Sep 17, 2009 at 2:21 PM

From a visual point of view it looks good. The navigation on the works page might be a little confusing to some people but then again I haven't used it.

Do some usability testing before you go live to see how people interact with the site.

Thanks Clayton! You're right, I'll do usability tests on the works navigation.

brilliant design, add tags for cross navigation

Posted on Sep 18, 2009 at 11:36 AM

nothing to say about design. like it, clean, professional and fun at the same time.

i agree about the works navigation, should be tested live.

i will add some TAGS for the works so to help users to filter and do cross navigation.

a good post about 'folio galleries: http://carsonified.com/blog/design/how-to-design-a-portfolio-site/

Great review Niccolò. Thank you very much for the link, really interesting read/watch.

I've updated the screenshots with a new layout for the works page. I mainly focused on usability and followed your suggestions. Can you take a look at the new layout?

Thank you very much for your help!

Nice thing about portfolio sites, is the freedom to be creative. I like the American Apparel/Apple.com look.

    Very nice job.

You're right. There's too much clutter. I'll make a shorter about me and get rid of the twitter and flickr boxes. Also think there is no need to have a delimited box for the featured content. Thanks

      Hi Daniel.

Now it looks nice. The only thing i hav to add is that the brigt white color to the right dose not fit in that page. its to bright.

      Regards Mikael

      Hey Mikael,

The white to the right was not meant to be there, it might be a mistake when I saved the image. I didn't see it because of my crappy monitor.

      Thank you for the feedback!
