    too dark for print

Posted on Sep 06, 2009 at 8:33 AM

hey man, these are beautiful compositions. My only concern is that your blacks in print are going to weigh down your colors in your middle ground. So make sure to get a test plot.

    text size

Posted on Sep 05, 2009 at 11:26 AM

honestly, i was going to suggest to change the 'rays of light' until i realised that it makes up an image of an eye. very nice work!

i agree with the last comment about the text size- i personally think if you'd just make it a little easier to read then it would be finished!

    again, good job with this~!

    text size and position

Maybe if you bring the text on the sky a bit larger, ppl who are looking for the cd in the store can find it easier.

    Font and colors

Posted on Sep 06, 2009 at 6:23 AM

    Just some thoughts

    a) The typo could be a pixel bigger b) The blue color doesn't work on the font i.m.o. Try a dark yellow

    Look nice!

    Keep up the good work

    It's very relaxing ...

I would place the text larger than it is now...

thanks, unfortunatly the client wanted to start from scratch on this, so i had to redesign everything. This was the one i liked the most, just wanted to see what other people thought, maybe i could have put up a side by side comparison of the 2 concepts.... oops, maybe next time :)

    WOW

Posted on Sep 08, 2009 at 4:09 AM

WOW is the word that comes out of my mouth.

Great , simply great. First 2 images are awesome. They certainly satisfy the concept of CD artwork.

But the third image looks like a wallpaper.

Overall all are fantastic. It will be in my FAV list.

    Work more w/ typo

Posted on Sep 08, 2009 at 2:00 PM

Nice northern / scandinavian look and feel. Relaxing, melancholic and cool. I like the pulsing radiation from the house.

I would like to see a bigger, more clean looking typography - less serifs.

I am not so sure about the color of font (blue).
