    type size

Hi! I just found an important gap between the "c" and "e" in the word face book (right by the facebook icon).

Spelling on "Academic Programmers" in top green navigation bar. It's missing the "r"

Maybe bring the "O" closer to the "b" in the green title "About SIM"

I like the type choice just maybe make it a few points bigger...seems tiny. and bring in the leading a tad?

Beyond that. Personally, I would do something different with the navigation at the bottom. Such as center align it and having the sub titles centered above each? I would also up the type size a tad.

I think it would be nice to see the orange color repeated again somewhere up top. Such as maybe for that back tab area where "Find Programs, Admissions $ campus info." is located.

    Maybe?

Also, I see consistency through out. Except on the second page where the backdrop of the featured stories is a different shade of green. Maybe the darker green from the gradient green that you used behind the links?

I like everything else. I look forward to seeing the home page.

Yup, think the orange was a nice complimentary color and will get the designer to incorporate it more. Thanks for the tip on leading and the typos.

The featured story color was intentionally a differnt shade to not blend too much with the nav. Perhaps a totally different hue would work better?

Will post up the home page once the client approves the wireframe.

That's really all I can say; the angle looks wrong compared to the "Search" tab hanging down above (which looks cool btw).

The rest of it looks very good; slick, if somewhat generically professional. I gather that's sort of a requirement here though. I like the orange active links, and the little wedge sticking out from them adds character. Perhaps a little more whitespace above and below the logo, to give it some breathing room between the navigation elements. And would icons help on the main nave buttons?

That's great feedback, thanks for the detailed pointers!

Unfortunately, icons on the main nav is not an option as the future site has to be implemented in MOSS (Microsoft Office Sharepoint Services) and maintenance (such as creating new section via the CMS) will be an issue.

    Good job

I agree with the others about the angles on the tab and increasing the body font size a smidge. You could decrease the leading maybe a little bit, but the lines are a little wide and the leading helps your eyes to not get lost when jumping to the next line.

Add hover/active states to the green navigation bar.

Also try lining up the grey background behind "About SIM Global Education", instead of breaking it like it currently is. Or perhaps, creating a "fold" effect instead of the abrupt break would look nice?

Lastly, I suggest that you make the home page a little more fun and lively, to entice young college students.

Thanks for the tip on the leading. We really didn't bother with adjusting too much in Photoshop as we could do that later through CSS. Hover states are also a definite interaction standard.

We're still in the midst of getting the home page wireframe approved before it's being designed and put up here.

SIM is the Singapore Institute of Management, a private education institute based in Singapore. =)
