First let me start by saying I love the pictures and your front page really drew me in to want to find out more.
With that said, here are all my suggestions. Keep any...leave any. Who says what's right anyway...
Maybe try bringing in the word "Tracking" closer to the word "Motion" in the title on page three. Also, try opening up the space between the letters in "Multi" and "Mouse" and bringing those two words closer together. Then step back and see what you think.
Do you want recycled paper by logo to look like an i ? Then awesome. But, if you want it to look like an "R" then rip in that right side belly so I know for sure.
Try taking out the separation bars for their purpose is redundant considering you have a different color for sub titles, as well as, space above and below. Maybe lighten up all black text drawing a color from your pics and then make your subtitle text bigger and slightly darker than the new text color.
Well, that's what I would do to improve it.
I like the simplicity and the intriguing info in the brackets. It pulled me right in.
I don't see anything wrong with sticking to your logo on the first page and in turn making it seem futuristic when you find a matching type to your logo saying the same stuff. I just know that a light logo on a light color is hard to see.
Well, that's what I would do if this were mine. Why? because, that's what I was taught and I go from there.
i couldn't quite figure out what was going on, or how to get to where i should go.
maybe some clearer navigation and clearer statement of purpose for the site (not a dissertation, just saying in a fancy way hey, i am a blog- read this- it's cool, or perhaps go there)
on the other hand, i think the photos are GREAT! they definitely kept me going, even though i felt lost.
to sum it up, from my perspective, keep the images, the font is cool too....maybe the size of the text and a little less black and white overall in the site.
good luck!
oh yeah, the page title that shows up in my browser is fucking AWESOME! i'm looking at my character map to see how you did it!
I might look at changing the text on the top images on inside pages.
Hey Thys,
I like minimalist design, but this should not stand in the way of the user experience.
When I first entered the page I didn't know what the site is about, what's with the links in the middle.
People don't read text. This is a known issue and it's outlined in every usability article or book out there. If you have nothing to show but text it's not going to attract people.
The text in the middle between the {} is to small and is hard to read. Making it italic makes things even worse because my browser renders it unreadable.
The sections bellow the content have an ? sign that leads to wikipedia, basically driving the people out of your site. I don't think you want that. At best put up a page on your own site or use a small pop-up bubble.
You don't have your logo on your homepage. Why is that? Isn't that the most relevant piece of your brand?
There is basically no clear navigation in the site. Decide if you want a presentation site or a blog. These are 2 distinct things.
Don't rob the visitors of basic things like a page title (on the blog), standard navigation, easy way to contact you. I for one could not find a way to get in touch with you.
That's it for now. Z :)
