    A Bit More Pizazz!

Love the concept. Definitely in keeping with the hip and funky feel of their tees. But it needs a little more punch! Go a little crazy with it! (File size allowing, of course.)

Right now, it plays more like an animated GIF and I can see you've got the skills to kick it up a notch.

(By the way, try using a vector caption bubble instead -- it'll rid you of those pesky dithered edges)

    Awesome tees though. <3

THANKS! I can't believe that I didn't "vectorize" the caption bubble. (You ever wonder what in the hell you were thinking?) I will do a little work on it and hopefully once this series gets broadcast, they'll come back to me for more...then I'll be able to use it! Appreciate the great feedback!

    Not impressed, sorry!

I understand you have some limitations with your ads, but I was not impressed at all. If the idea is to attract new customers, I was not WOWed.

Like Billie said, it needs more PUNCH. And the balloon looks raterized.

If you are going with a "Comic" look and feel, maybe add some "comic" background. :)

Wow, Joel...you are a bit harsh, but the truth hurts sometimes and this designer appreciates it. It seems like with every criticism I get with these, I want to start my response with, "Yes, but...." These ads are going to appear on sites like drudgereport.com, facebook.com, myspace.com and many others. If you have been on those sites, I hope you've seen snorgtees' static ads - they're just pictures of models in their t-shirts with their logo somewhere. From a design standpoint, not very appealing, and sometimes downright offensive. But, as designers, we do our craft to communicate a message effectively. We don't ask, does it look good...we ask, is it effective? Does it work? And these banners, while not very designer-friendly, are quite effective to their target audience (mostly males 16-35). Why do these ads (maybe not this one in particular) work? Big boobs sell! It's that plain. Snorgtees gave me data on which static ads have worked and they can narrow it down to the ones where the model has big boobs and is sexy/innocent. So, yes, I can agree with you on your critique. But, I also know that these ads will be effective. With that said, thank you for being brutally honest - the sign of a truly talented designer.

Well... now I feel bad. It was not my intention to be so harsh on you. I agree with all you said. Good luck with this project. :)

You misunderstand me, I'd rather you be harsh on my design than blow sunshine up my butt. Don't feel bad about speaking what you believe.

Cool, Ben. So how's the project going?

well, this particular project has long since been submitted and I've been paid. However, these banner ads have yet to go live due to snorgtees.com's advertising service. The owner has assured me that he'll contact me when they do. Still waiting, though. I am hoping that these banners will receive many, many clicks and that snorgtees will come back to me for more. Then, I'll be posting more ideas on here! Thanks for asking. And I've noticed you aren't too happy with some feedback you've been getting. The ones who really tick me off are those that post comments like "nice work," "doesn't work," "try different colors," etc. And that's all they put - just trying to boost reputation points. Actually had to send a complaint at one point. But, I do love the idea behind this site. Happy critiquing!
