i watched the whole thing, and i kept waiting to see what the hell the lady was painting! you're killing me with anticipation!
but overall, i sucked me in....background music was nice, as well as the spoken word....
overall, pretty good job, but just had wished you'd slowed down while panning over the paintings (alliteration totally unintentional) and zoomed out in order that i could have seen what the artist was working on.
I'd have to say that the intro was too in your face first of all. It's almost like a horror with 8 seconds of black nothing and wondering if the link still works and suddenly there's this overstylized BLUBLUBLUE AAAAAAHH. cut out some of that black start up, or fill it with growing background like music to lead into what your intro is. Your shots are good but again, for the style you're going for you might even want to start slomo on the opening shots rather than right into the speedy painting. I know this is outside (or just in crazy lighting) but it'd be really cool I think if you matted it because it is a kind of surreal style. You can't have too much of reality seeping in from the sides for that. Also the character introduction is too far in, you should have some inkling of the artist early on if they're going to be such a cernterstage later. think of it like a foreshadowing.
and I agree it's kind of a dissapointment not to see the final product at the end.
