not a lot I would change.

Excellent intention and call to action, as soon as you land you know that clicking the 'preview your site' button is the first thing you want to do.

    Very nice work.

Honestly it's a beautiful layout, and I can see needing to compress things a bit just to keep them from ending up a mile long vertically - but the rest of the layout feels so open and clean that the two white paragraphs in the dark gray bar stand out as a little dense. Very clean and professional.

Show the phones browsing a website

Since the website is about mobile internet, maybe consider showing a webpage on the two phones instead of their home screens.

    The gradients

Posted on Aug 31, 2009 at 6:01 PM

I would try and fix the gradients that you used for the bark grey and white blocks as it makes the text a little difficult to read. Other then that I like the design

    Good

Posted on Sep 14, 2009 at 9:09 AM

It's a good design for a mobile app/site. I think the lightning / shadow effects are a little overused. Try making the dark grey darker and remove the blue line on top. You also need to work on the font-sizes and spacing - it seen a bit cluttered now.

    Increase contrast in areas...

Posted on Aug 28, 2009 at 5:11 AM

This is corporate and modern, really like all of the presentation and the icons. I have always liked the darker greys and cyans, never used them together this much but it works.

If I was to be stupidly picky there are a few places that fade into the background slightly, i.e. the list items in the cyan section, and the "learn more" and "Go global" call to actions in the lower grey section. HOWEVER! It is possible that you intended to fade these aspects into the background slightly, if so well done.

    Nice!!

Posted on Aug 28, 2009 at 10:05 PM

    Hey! nice design out there!

Here is what i would suggest!

1- Icons are nice, and suit the website. But have a closer look at the icons and the logo. i feel the icons should be a bit smaller with a bit more margin on top. Same goes with the icon text. It might be better if a bit smaller. 2- DID YOU KNOW? , in this the text body should be a bit less in width. Its kinda getting into the blackberry! 3-The text on the gray bg is too conjusted. give it bit more space by inc the space b/e the lines.

    So thats it!

A nice design, the color scheme is what i call bright and clean.!

    Ali..

Would remove the Not Sure? in teh action button

Posted on Sep 29, 2009 at 9:52 AM

It´s a very clear and concise message starting with logo and tag line. Nice build up. I think I would make the action button stand out even more and with a clearer message. Remove Not sure?, and just put something like "Preview your mobile site" Great with big icons in the menu however the symbols you have used for Home and Case studies are not that logic to me.

Identify the purpose of the site

Posted on Sep 01, 2009 at 3:30 AM

After seeing the phones, my eyes are drawn to the DID YOU KNOW... text.

As a self respected user, i will not actually start reading the text underneath, but will go to the next large header.

IS YOUR SITE READY? Ready for what?

So far there were 2 questions but no answers. This is exactly the opposite to the "Don't make me think" strategy for websites.

A large header similar to "Create mobile version of your site" could have been better.

The good thing is that the design is solid, and changing the text is very easy.

Calls to action need to be more clear.

Posted on Sep 01, 2009 at 12:57 PM

Love the design, but the primary call to action "Preview your Site" could use an arrow to make it more clearly a call to action. The fact that the button is straddling the line between white and blue make it look a little less button-like. The arrows beneath the "Preview Your Site" button are also a bit confusing, as they look like calls to action. The "Integrate a mobile-optimized version of your site today with MobileMySite.com" is a REALLY long call to action, and since it isn't underlined, I am not sure if it is clickable.

    great layout

Posted on Sep 01, 2009 at 2:09 PM

What i think you could improve: - Y from the logo looks weird/bitten - get better icons (or at least try without gray boxes) - give more space between "case studies" and the iPhone - same space above and below bullets - make shadow between blue/light gray panels shorter and lighter - the last lines before the footer are too dark - also you could improve by tweaking white space overall

    I like

Posted on Sep 08, 2009 at 2:52 PM

At last a design I like.

Really nice, clear purpose and great call to action.

Only very small things that are just my opinion. I think there may be too much copy if this is the home page. I like nice simple single purpose home pages for sites like this. Would it be possible to loose the bottom text in the grey portion and put this somewhere else?

For some reason the iphone being so close to the nav annoys me... and I think the navigation is the weakest part of the design. Again, maybe it's just me

In general, awesome stuff. You could definitely get away with not changing a thing.

    Good luck

    Top menu... icons too big

Posted on Aug 29, 2009 at 5:44 PM

I realy like the design . Colors look very well together, good and clean design. I like it.

But i think you should at least consider making those icons in the top menu atleast a bit smaller, couse at the moment menu looks too big and draws a bit too much attention to itself.

    Messaging

Posted on Aug 31, 2009 at 8:19 AM

    Looks good!

The only thing i would change is the order your messaging goes.

The first thing you should inform is what MobileMySite does.

Then, you should use the "did you know..." part.

The users read the website first the logo, than they read the Did you know and see the mobile phones.

The true nature of the website service is in the blue area that's less explicit.

Another thing, maybe a little less shadow between the first dark gray and the light gray.

    That's all! :)

I'd like to see a more powerful call to action. What button would I click to get started now?

Also, the top logos draw too much of my attention.

    Overall, great job.

    Screenshots and contrast

Posted on Aug 31, 2009 at 5:45 PM

I suggest replacing the screens of the mobile devices to show mobile-optimized sites instead of home screens. Maybe even an animation of before and after to help visitors understand why they need your service. Many people won't want to go through the process of previewing their site and need instant examples.

Overall I love the design, but I am partial to blue. I would however suggest improving the contrast ratio for the white on blue text, as well as the two calls to action at the bottom which should stand out. Maybe use the bright blue for the bottom links.

Icons ... are a bit odd

Posted on Aug 27, 2009 at 3:54 PM

The navigation icons aren't quite "iconic" to me ... but overall love this concept. The only other thing i'd address would be the justification in the copy boxes toward the bottom - a full justification might work a little cleaner.

Posted on Aug 28, 2009 at 3:45 AM

The colors really give focus points to the site. Adding the phones in this way really shows the services provided via Mobile Phones.

Consider removing the icons in the menu, I think they take up to much space and most of the contextual parts of the menu speak for themself.

    Blue color and textures

Posted on Aug 26, 2009 at 12:02 PM

I really like simple designs, because the get to the point. And so does yours.

I think that blue can't be changed for another one because it's on your logo. So, I'd suggest not to change it, but to apply to it a texture. For example: bold stripes with low opacity, dots, mosaics like the ones in the menu, etc... And try that doing so also improves the bulleted lines that are hard to read. They'll need also an enhancedment. Try adding a color background to each line (could be rounded) or to the entire list.

Try adding textures also to the gray areas too.

    not much i would change

Posted on Aug 25, 2009 at 7:54 PM

the radial gradient in the lower gray section was a little distracting to me as I was reading the white text and the contrast with the bg would change as I read left to right. Not sure if you should necessarily change that just because of me, but maybe see if any others feel the same way. Possibly make the gradient a little more subtle. Otherwise I think it is a very effective and profesional site.

    Better Colors

Posted on Aug 25, 2009 at 11:03 PM

    The overall design is great.

    1. I feel that the blue color that you have used is too loud. It looks OK if a person is viewing it in an LCD. But most of the people do not.

    2. And the bulleted points are not that visible due to blue background.

    3. Change the blue color to something like the background wallpaper color of displayed blackberry mobile. That will surely ease the eyes on any moniter.
