you have created a very easy to navigate website, i like the spacing and placement of things. i don't know if you already knew and were going for this, but the color there is very fleshy and the pink/red on it.. well, i think you could come up with something less flesh-like and more comforting. something i dread about the OBGYN is being undressed, and this color scheme seems to shout "NAKED!" maybe that's just me... but really, beautiful website, i would just like to see another color there.. maybe just a yellowy beige.. ?
Very clean design, pleasant to look at. It bit too much copy to digest, perhaps in a glance.
Hi Octavio. Good job on targeting a specific audience. Although I am a guy and can't really look at this from the user's point of view, I would have to say this design is easy on the eyes, easy to navigate, and is clean and professional. Nothing special about it, which is a good thing for this purpose.
I personally prefer the conventional placement of logos. Have you tried putting the logo on the left and the menu on the right?
Also, the page took a while to load... I have a feeling you could optimize the images for the web. For example using photoshop to try and get the image's size as small as possible, in kb's. Could just be the server though.
Anyway, nice site!
The Icons next to Watch KTSM9 Interview, etc... need to be vertically aligned in the middle with the text. They seem to be a few pixels above the text.
Make it more obvious where I am in the navigation, I get scared when I have no idea where I am, and changing the color of the link isn't enough. (Also it seems the home doesn't change colors)
The biggest problem with the design is the pages where the text goes on forever. I only have so much patience and I don't want to even scroll through a bunch of irrelevant text in order to get where I want. Use tabs, javascript, something. Just hide, or link to the text. Little bits of text at a time not a whole page.
That flesh color is very boring.... It makes me feel like I'm an old woman or something, or this is an old laser surgery center.
On the contact page the PA is on another line, that should probably be fixed.
Other than this good job.
Thanks Michael, and yes I agree, I need to implement some JS and tabs on those services pages. It is a bit long for my taste as well.
Its too bad no one likes the color scheme. bah!
No complaints-nice work
Good job Octavio!
My only concerns are regarding the usability. You have everything accessible from the home but a search box on the header is always useful for the lazy people or the "google is internet" generation.
Anyway my main concern is the link color. You use this color for: Remarks: A state of the art facility conveniently located in the heart of the El Paso medical district.
Titles: Our address
Links with underline: View Map
Links without underline: Watch KFOX14 interview
Also the underline on the mouse over of "Patient's Choice Award www.vitals.com" looks really weird with the star and the white space.
You should decide an exclusive color for links and headlines and a unique criteria for links (underlined or not).
I'm sorry if I did many mistake with the English I'm not fluent yet :(
Seems to be easy to navigate. Well thought out. The only thing that jumps out at me -- the lines separating the middle navigation (patient services etc.) are a little too light. They seem to merge into one image.
Good work!
Sorry, gotta agree with the first poster who said it looks like flesh.
I don't know that I'm too crazy about the hugging mom and daughter, either. I don't view my doctor visits as mother/daughter bonding. I think most women view these vists -- at least the non-OB ones -- as necessary things to be endured. I think the mom-daughter overwhelm the logo on the home page. Maybe you could lose them altogether and enlarge the logo.
Does the doc only do surgery or is he a regular ob/gyn? It is unclear to me. If it's only surgery then I would definitley lose the mom/daughter.
I think the site is easy to navigate, and I think it creates the impression that he is using the most current techniques etc. I like "featured surgery".
The interior pages are very clean, easy to read, and full of good info. Overall really nice job.
great critic on the "fleshy" color! I never thought of that. It's great to have a woman comment on this. Thank you :-)
