Concept 1 is the one I think it's the most appropriate.
The second concept it's a nice idea but I think the fork and knife ... way to strong message, it depends on the book if it has a strong message or not
The last concept doesn't work for me because of the description of the book, it's about getting information and the concept nr 3 is restricted the feeling it gives you is not what I expect for this type of book and I know it's a sketch but the head looks like a woman head :D

My favourite design is number 2, simply because it has the potential 'shock factor'. When I'm browsing online or in a bookshop I'm more likely to take a second glance at a brain being eaten (especially if it's life like) than the two other designs.
It really does look like she is eating them - maybe instead use the brain on a spinning globe stand with a pinpoint stuck into it to mark a place to explore - they're are many ideas along this line of thinking.

I love the brain concept. Maybe have the brain in a shallow tray and change the tools to something more in line with what you would use to do a dissection if the eating metaphor is a bit too much.

Concept 1
If you want to use the "Men are from Mars" idea as a graphic device, you should try to depict the planet more accurately. Mars isn't known for having rings; you're probably thinking of a different planet (one with rings). Saturn has thicker rings, Jupiter is more known for its large red oval, and Uranus' ring is usually depicted along the vertical axis...so I suppose the planet in your picture must be Neptune.
If you can color Mars red, or at least do some texture that more closely resembles photos of the planet, that might help identify the planet as Mars (in addition to removing the ring).
Not sure if this is what you intended, but here's what I get from your Concept 1 cover design:
Act like a lady = spy on people
Think like a man = sit at the bar smoking a cigarette, like any self-respecting Netpunian
Other than those critical flaws, I like this one.
Concept 2
Nice metaphor, but maybe foreceps and a magnifying glass would better suggest that she's exploring instead of eating the man's brain. How about having a picture of the man, from the torso up, and have her examining an exposed part of his brain? (Maybe he's just missing the top or side of his head.) Or zoom in on the brain and show a couple of ladies going on a Lewis & Clark type of expedition.
