I would suggest hiring a web designer. It's a very disjointed design and not very professional.
I suggest a nice shiny header with a nice shiny button. Then simple text underneath.
Think Web 2.0...
I would strongly avoid going web 2.0. It's an old fad and looks dreadful. All that shinyness...urgh.
Michael: I think anything is better than this. Being TOO perfect is the least of his worries...
It looks like a scam!
The only nice thing there is a front picture on a software box. Try to build the site from a scratch based on this design or your credibility will suffer the big time and you can kiss conversions good by :)
On the other hand why can't it be an online service instead of downloadable soft?
lol.. how does it look like a scam... The thing is, I've read that "shinny" websites don't convert best... tell me what you think of this website: http://www.salsadancedvd.com/ All the guys I know that are the "top dogs" in marketing( making millions/year) have really crappy websites!!! but it's done on purpose
It would probably be a good idea to make it an online service, but I would have to stat from scratch
I used to still make sales with a site that was 10 times worse!!! This is so far my "best" site
Hi David! Wanna ask something. Do you want all this in a single page??? No problem! :) Lets start with the top 1. the red bar- u can make it lesser in height and change the font of the title. 2. Please make the whole design center align (not the content). 3. You can try white shadow box for images and place them nicely. In fact why don't try some other nice images .... 4. Apply some vibrant colors in overall design.... 5. Still you are not convinced please hire a web designer :) Wish you a good luck :)
Hello! Excuse me but did you bring this inspiration! good job!
It feels like spam to me. The fact that you've got to sign up with an email address to view any content is poor and people won't go for it.
You're looking to capture the 25-32 year old males.
Maybe a full screen image of gorgeous Latinas? (I hate the objectification of women, but that shaggy dude in the blue sweater isn't really making me want to dance.)
For a splash page, you want a simple call to arms: 'Do you want to learn how to dance?'
wufoo.com has a tremendously simple form-builder that makes great looking forms and is very easy to implement into any page.
And css-tricks has a fantastic tutorial on full-screen backgrounds: http://css-tricks.com/3458-perfect-full-page-background-image/
Hope it helps...
I agree, this looks very cheap, and the copy sucks. SECRET, AMAZING, HOT girls?? Come on!
