Gavan
This is a truly beautiful design...
There's not much to say, I like them both, but I think the text of "elevate" on the first one is perfect, and then the hammers on the second one added to the first version would be the best combination.
Overall though, it's so well executed that the client should be absolutely stoked with it!
Great job!
Hey Gavan. This is great. nothing to say on this other than that I'd would like to see the hammers on version one. Then you have the auction-symbols in place, making the logo more targeted.
Great work..c",
I would go for #4 (vanila) with smaller hammers from #3. I'm not a great fan of this red borders.
I kind of like the red border. think it's framing in the logo nicely. Good contrast to the green.
It's a huge improvement and I'm so glad you stopped torturing that metaphor!
Striking and simple. Great work. I'm still not convinced it conveys a lot about the business, but I assume it will always be seen in context so the meaning will be apparent.
Agree with others – No.1 with hammers. I'd like to see whether putting the hammers on the opposite angle, with their heads raised, would add anything to the dynamic. If not, best leave it as is.
Hope this helps.
thanx Steve. I tried the hammers in the other direction, creates unbalance. Thanx for the suggestions.
Hello Gavan - Although I really liked your earlier concept, I must say you really nailed it (no pun intended...lol) with this newest hammer design. It's so clean, and instantly conveys the intended message. The sparkle on top is perfectly "vintage" too.
You've got 'mad skillz' .... Aloha, Rebecca
Hi Gavan - I don't really care for the red borders. My favorite now would have to be #4. The shadow effect on #2 does stand out, however #4 just looks more tied together and"complete". I was showing your concepts to one of my co-workers and he likes #4 the best as well.
I think I agree with you. I just didn't want to leave any stones unturned!
For me option 2 is more attractive then option 1.
Shadow under elevate does the job here....makes it more prominent.
Lovely...
If i think any thing that needs to be fixed is the shadow under the logo....you should reduce its opacity a little bit...:)
I agree it makes it more prominent, but I also agree with the others on number 1 as I think the inset type creates a more unified look.
Now i like the red one....Adding some contrast really does change the look and feel of the whole thing...looks more authentic now
I love the second one with the gavels. Awesome work.
All I have to say is WOW. This is just one beautiful logo (#1). IF, I have a chance to change anything I would do one thing.
I would move "auctions" over so it fits in the left part of the logo, then I would add the hammer to the other side. Not sure how that would look like but just a suggestion. Otherwise this is a killer logo. Great job!
I like the red. The addition elevates the design, pun intended. Great job of getting a vintage feel without looking stale and dated.
love the red design. If you are going for vintage you have got it!
I've got to agree. I like the red border. Adds strength and some boldness to the subtlety of the rest. Also like the size of the gavels in this one.
Oh my God I think this is also one of the beautiful logo I see in this year, I like the version 4, the color is overall beautiful. Have you tried bright gold color?
This is a very nice design. I like the font used on the first logo. The idea of using hammer is great, but i think its not correctly used. May be there is a better place to put that. I think the star at the top can be replaced with a hammer.
Dipesh, Thanx for the feedback.
I've tried the hammer at the top. Unfortunately because the logo is so symmetrical, it creates a feeling of unbalance.
For me the first option is the best one, I like how you worked the gradient and bevel effect, usually these effects make a logo looks busy, but yours looks smooth, I don't think the hammers are necessary to support the "AUCTIONS" word, you already have several elements (shape, frame, start), so the hammers could be too much, I could think the logo doesn't look bad without those arrowheads.
nice logo Gravan
Beautiful color tone with elegent text feeling.
